Voices Rock is proud and excited to announce three new choirs joining the community! Littleton, Louisville, and Vail now have their own rock choirs with top notch directors at the helm.
The Voices Rock Littleton choir will be led by Joe Mondragon, a Denver based professional musician with a decade of teaching experience and 15 years experience as multi instrumentalist. He has received vocal instruction at both Pepperdine University, where he studied musical theater, as well as UCDenver where he received his BA in music industries studies. He has been teaching groups and choirs with an emphasis on performance and vocal technique with music schools like Performance High, Wholebody Singing, and Neighborhood Music.
Rehearsals at Littleton will be held 7-8:15pm on Wednesdays starting March 4 at Riverwalk Club House, 2751 W Riverwalk Circle, Littleton, CO 80123. There’s a Meet and Greet/Open House on Wednesday, March 4 at 6:30pm-8pm.
The Voices Rock Louisville choir will be led by Diane Goldsmith, already the director of the Highlands choir. Diane has been based in the Denver area since 2017. Previous to her Denver move Diane was involved with the performing arts & educational travel program, Up with People! With them she was a participant for 6 months, a promotion representative for 1 year, vocal instructor for 4 years & show manager for 2 years. Prior to her global experience Diane was raised singing since the age of 7 when her mom had her join the local church choir & she hasn’t stopped since! After extensive experience with the Houston Children’s Chorus, as well as high school choirs & musicals, Diane continued her studies at The University of Oklahoma where she received her Bachelors in Music Education in Voice. Diane is in her first year of teaching music & drama at KIPP Denver Collegiate High school. She can also be found singing with a tribute band called Stone Beat Invasion!
Rehearsals at Louisville will be held Wednesdays starting February 12 from 7-8:15pm at Tilt, 640 Main Street, Louisville, CO.
The Voices Rock Vail choir will be led by Don Watson, a recording artist and composer who has performed at Sydney Opera House, Red Rocks, and Caesar’s Palace. His extensive work experience includes television, teaching, and longtime aprés ski performances. Don has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from State University of New York at Oswego, and coaches what is now a nationally recognized fencing club.
Rehearsals at Vail will be held Thursdays from 7-8:15pm starting March 19 at Eagle River Presbyterian Church, 455 Nottingham Ranch Road, Avon, CO.
